This programme is for parents of secondary school aged children

Moving Parents and Children Together M-PACT

The Moving Parents and Children Together M-PACT programme aims to help the whole family reduce the harmful impact that parental substance misuse and addiction can have on everyone’s lives.  It aims to develop positive coping strategies, improve family communication, identify and build on personal and family strengths, to have fun, to raise self esteem and to increase resilience and improve safety.

The programme is a brief intervention that consists of 8 consecutive weekly meetings, each lasting 2.5 hours during which time parents and children from different families attend together.

There are other parenting courses that are run across North Somerset and details of these can be found on the Family Information Service Directory.
